The News, Explained
Amazon announced its November Luna lineup on November 5. The games included with Prime come in two forms. With cloud gaming, the game runs on Amazon’s servers and streams to your screen. With a claimable PC game, you redeem it from a list and install it through the specified store or app. Both appear in the same announcement, with different access requirements. Source Source Source
Madden NFL 27 and NBA THE RUN were on the Luna Standard streaming list at the time of the announcement. That lineup can change, and Amazon offers cloud gaming at no extra charge to Prime members in 14 countries. The US and UK are on that list. Amazon’s help page says the Prime membership must be from the country where you live. Source Source
WRC Generations and Squirrel with a Gun, meanwhile, are PC games that became available to claim on November 5. Amazon lists the first for the Epic Games Store and the second for the Amazon Games App. Jurassic World Evolution 2 is on the schedule for November 12 through the Epic Games Store. Under Luna’s terms, a PC game can have minimum hardware requirements, and you may need an outside account or have to link it to Amazon. Source Source
Amazon’s help page lists South Korea among the countries where a Prime Video subscription provides access to claimable PC games. South Korea is outside the cloud gaming list. The monthly announcement doesn’t say which individual titles appear for Korean accounts or how long each can be claimed there. Source Source
OYOPICK’s Take
If one game is driving a subscription decision in South Korea, the claim screen for your account is a better guide than the title in an announcement. Madden NFL 27 appearing on a streaming list doesn’t establish that you can play it in South Korea. For a PC offer, we’d look for the title in the account, the store it uses, and whether the computer can run it. Labels for streaming and PC claims next to each title, along with eligibility and deadlines for the signed-in account, would make the difference clearer before people pay. Source Source Source
