The News, Explained

On November 6, Nintendo announced an 11.11 sale in its Singapore, Malaysia and Thailand eShops, the online stores where Switch owners buy downloadable games. All three notices give November 9–22, 2026 as the sale period for select digital games from Nintendo’s partners. Some titles may end on a different date, and the notices give no cutoff time that applies to every game. Source Source Source

Compare the same edition and the same discount can come with three local prices. All three notices list Moonlighter 2: The Endless Vault for Switch 2 at 25% off. Nintendo lists S$30.00 down to S$22.50 in Singapore, RM72.00 down to RM54.00 in Malaysia, and ฿590 down to ฿442 in Thailand. Each figure is in the local currency shown in the notice. The same price can also appear on different editions. Nintendo Thailand lists Hades II for Switch and Hades II – Nintendo Switch 2 Edition separately, with both marked down from ฿599 to ฿419. Owners of the original Switch game can add an upgrade pack to play the enhanced version on Switch 2. Developer Supergiant Games says the pack is free to download from the eShop in all regions. On both Switch generations, the eShop you open follows the country or region on your Nintendo Account. Two owners of the same console can therefore be looking at different stores and offers. Nintendo says eShop balances do not carry over when the account’s country or region changes. Source

OYOPICK’s Take

Start with the store on your account and the edition you want to play. If you are buying Hades II for the first time on a Thai account, the two advertised prices are the same, so the console you use can guide your choice. If you own the original Switch game and are moving to Switch 2, the free upgrade means you can keep the ฿419. Showing each game’s end date and any free upgrade path alongside its edition would make both decisions easier. Source Source Source Source
