The News, Explained

On November 5, 2026, Xbox announced its weekend trials. The Modern Warfare 4 DMZ trial is in the Game Pass member group. Xbox says its Anno 117: Pax Romana and Crime Boss: Rockay City trials are open without Game Pass. In DMZ, players fight for loot and try to get out with their squad. The trial covers that mode. Xbox Wire lists DMZ from noon Pacific on November 6 to 10 a.m. Pacific on November 11. In Korea, those times are 5 a.m. on November 7 and 3 a.m. on November 12. The Korean Xbox Store description lists November 7 through November 11 and gives no end time or time zone. The converted 3 a.m. time therefore is not a confirmed cutoff for the Korean store. Xbox Wire puts DMZ in the group for Essential, Premium and Ultimate members. The Korean trial page requires internet access and a phone number linked to an Activision account, and says Essential may be needed. Source Source

Xbox announces the Anno 117 and Crime Boss trials without Game Pass from November 5 through November 8, with no end time given for the eighth. Both Korean store pages list Xbox Series X|S and single player. Access to the trial and online multiplayer are separate: the Korean pages list additional online conditions. We did not verify that the trials run on a Korean account. Source Source Source

PAYDAY 3, Nowhere Prophet, BALL x PIT, Deceive Inc and Age of Wonders 4 are in the Essential, Premium and Ultimate group that weekend. IXION, a space city builder in the member list, limits the trial itself to two hours of play. Sharing the weekend dates does not make these trials work the same way. Source

OYOPICK’s Take

If you want to build a city or try a heist on your own, the two trials without Game Pass give you more options. If you’re arranging a DMZ session with friends, it makes sense to sort out membership and account requirements and choose a date both listings cover. An end time and time zone on the Korean store page would make it easier to tell whether a session can continue past midnight. Source Source Source Source
